Discover London, a new retail concept designed to celebrate British heritage and showcase locally sourced products from across Sussex and the wider region, has opened at London Gatwick.

The store offers passengers a premium gifting experience that blends iconic British brands such as Fortnum & Mason, Cath Kidston and Whittard with authentic regional finds. From artisan chocolates and craft spirits to homegrown teas, the specially curated assortment reflects London Gatwick’s commitment to creating a strong sense of place for travellers visiting London and the UK.

Passengers can enjoy premium spirits from brands including Brighton Gin and Harley House Distillery, with tastings available in-store. Sweet treats from Cocoa Loco and Monty Bojangles join savoury favourites like Sussex Crisps and teas from Edge Tea and Coffee. Award-winning Sussex and Surrey vineyards Bolney and Denbies also feature, bringing a taste of the region’s renowned wine heritage to London Gatwick.

Stephane Geffroy, Head of Retail, London Gatwick said: “Discover London is a fantastic addition to our retail line-up, giving passengers even more choice and inspiration before they fly. This concept combines British heritage with unique products from the region, creating a premium gifting destination that feels truly special. We’re proud to partner with Lagardère to bring this experience to life and continue enhancing the retail journey at London Gatwick.”

Peter Newbould, CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail UK & Ireland, said: “Discover London allows us to bring passengers something truly special, a curated blend of Britain’s most-loved brands alongside the incredible talents of the region’s local makers. It’s a store full of character, flavour and craftsmanship. This launch is an important milestone in our growth in the UK and Ireland and a testament to our commitment to celebrating the regions we serve. We’re thrilled to bring this concept to London Gatwick and even more excited to open our second store at North Terminal next year as we continue strengthening our partnership and enhancing the passenger journey.”

Discover London joins a growing list of new openings at the airport, including Pandora, GAIL’s Bakery and Sknfed, with more exciting additions planned for 2026.

The opening of Discover London reinforces the airport’s work to champion local products, giving them greater visibility to a global audience.

London Gatwick now offers 189 regional products throughout its food and beverage and retail outlets, showcasing the quality across the Gatwick Region.

  • The Gatwick Region represents the six areas of West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey, Kent, the unitary authority of Brighton & Hove and the London Borough of Croydon

With 43m annual passengers, London Gatwick is the UK’s second largest and one of Europe’s top 10 airports. It is a vital piece of national infrastructure that drives both the national and regional economies by generating £5.5bn GVA and supporting over 76,000 jobs (2023). Almost 60 airlines fly from the airport to over 150 short-haul and more than 50 long-haul destinations. With a declared capacity of 55 movements an hour, London Gatwick is the most efficient single runway airport in the world.

The airport is located 28 miles south of the UK capital and is extremely well-connected, with more than a quarter of England’s population (15m people) – including all of London – less than one hour away by road or rail. A six-year, £2bn sustainable growth programme includes an ambitious plan to be a net zero airport by 2030 and to increase capacity by bringing the airport’s existing Northern Runway into routine use, alongside its Main Runway. VINCI Airports owns a 50.01% stake in the airport, with Global Infrastructure Partners managing the remaining 49.99%.

VINCI Airports, as the leading private airport operator in the world, manages the development and operation of more than 70 airports located in 14 countries.
