Sustainability
Gatwick will become a net zero airport by 2030 - 10 years ahead of its previous commitment. To do this, it will invest over £250 million to cut emissions under the airport’s direct control, by replacing all vehicles, gas boiler sand refrigerants with low carbon alternatives. The airport will also continue to reduce overall energy use, invest in on-site renewable energy, including solar power, and source 100% renewable electricity.
The airport’s second Decade of Change policy set out ten broad sustainability goals to achieve by 2030, supported by ten roadmaps clearly showing what the airport plans to achieve year by year. https://www.gatwickairport.com/business-community/sustainability/
